thatsamilkshake: (z - wee - bathtime)
[personal profile] thatsamilkshake
By the time Francine finally found her way back to the big place with the beds, she was really really messy. Maraschino cherries and falling into several mud puddles accidentally on purpose can have that effect. And messy meant bathtime! And no Mommy around for baths meant she could do it all by herself like a big girl. Chuck said so too, and he was a grownup kinda.

Which was why Francine and her duckie and a towel were in the bathroom, and the water was running in the bathtub at the end of the long row of showers. "You stay there, bubber duckie," she said, putting him in the water to bob while she looked around for more bubbles. Yes, more. She'd already dumped somebody's entire bottle of strawberry shampoo into the water, but more bubbles were always better.

So was turning off the water before it ran over the sides of the tub and the bubbles took over the bathroom floor. Pity nobody ever taught her that in Big Girl Bathtime Class.

Then again, sliding barefooted (and, well, bare everythinged) across the tiles through the rapidly rising bubbles was fun too!

[Open! To GIRLS, naturally. Or, you know, extremely adventurous boys.]

After a very exciting Saturday, Dinah had collapsed early and slept well, and now she was up and ready to do things again! First, breakfast and cartoons, though.

It's mostly what she could find in the lower shelves, so granola bars and marshmallows are the same as cereal and very yummy when eaten while watching meta for Dora the Explorer.

Yesterday had been spent handwavily exploring, but Yurika knew that today was Very Important.

Yesterday, she had been Five. Today, Yurika was Six.

Normally her nanny or her Okāsan would throw her a party, with lots of balloons and treats and other little girls wearing very pretty dresses, which was actually very very boring, but Yurika had very quickly realized that there were no nannies or okāsans anywhere to be found.

Which suited her just fine.

She'd very diligently made a poster using some crayons she'd scrounged up, and managed to attach it to the door without using the whole roll of tape. Yurika had also managed to handwavily again get a red wagon at a store in town, and gone over to the bakery and gotten them to fill it up with moddable treats.

Even at six, she knew exactly what the credit card was for, and the employees were too frightened of the bossy child to object.

Now she had cartoons on the tv as she bounced on the couch, eating cake for lunch and wearing a glittery tiara. Best Birthday Ever!

[Open w/ moddable treats for all! ETA: Running errands, back inna bit.]

Girls and their tea parties were stupid. Stupid! In Lois' opinion there was much more fun things to do than drink tea and wear dresses and crap. Like kicking ass and taking names, for example.

Which was just what she was doing.

"Die, commies, die!" Lois shrieked, kicking a tree. "I'm gon' sendya to Guan-guan-tababo Bay!"

Then she purposely fell into a pile of mud for funsies.

[Oh so open]

Hannibal had found the pool! There were floaties and it was all shallow and it was warm and Hannibal never knew you could go swimming when it was cold outside. He looked down at himself, at his mud covered clothes and just decided they do.

He took off his shoes and socks, grabbed an innertube and took off towards the pool. "Cannonball!" He'd heard that shouted on television enough.

And, with a HUGE splash, he hit the water and started swimming around.

[Ooooooopen pool for the mud covered kids! Floaties are moddable and the pool is shallow for the tiny needs!]

Last night, Joan had the scary dream about koala bears in hats. She decided that tonight, she was gonna stay up ALL night and watch TV in the big room with the big fridge that had lots of ice cream.

She dragged her blanket, pillow and stuffed kitten to the common room and turned on the TV. She would love to have some company.

[Open! I thought a weetiny sleepover leading to big people waking up could be fun. Plus I haven't gotten to play much :D]

There are few things more exciting than a BIRTHDAY.

Unless, of course, it was TWO BIRTHDAYS.

Kaylee and Yurika had discovered that it was BOTH their birthdays today, and that was why the common room was decorated, and there was cake!

And by "decorated," one might assume "with glitter and bits of torn up colored paper flung on things, and some misspelled banners stuck to the wall about two feet off the ground."

Children are excellent decorators, you know.

[wait for the ocd and it's up, and everyone is welcome to cooooome]
