Now, Turtle Wexler could hold her own in a kitchen if she had to, especially if it was simple stuff like mac'n'cheese or grilled cheese or generally anything with cheese involved. Thankfully, however, she didn't have to. Many of the delicious things of the world came easily prepared and packaged for her convenience.

And in a few weeks, she'd have to start a full campaign, petal to the metal, especially once the new kids came in, but, for right now, she thought she'd work a softer angle with the kids already here. That was why she had special ordered a large case of assorted Pop-Tarts, all with green and black frosting, colors hopefully guaranteed to bring to mind the Wexler/Walters teams, and was dropping them into the toaster, toasting them up to put on Westing Paper Products and hopefully pass on to her fellow students.

And if no one was really up and about this morning, well...she really hoped Maron and Apu liked Pop-Tarts, because it was the roomie and the faithful employee who was going to be stuck with them when she was done. And it would be the only time in her life that she'd actually miss Nana. That beast would take care of them all real quick, that was for sure!

[[ I've got a morning off and I'm gonna use it! Open as common rooms are! Feel free to mod your Pop-Tart flavours! ]]

It was too hot to stay cooped up in her room and, much like a plant, Ino needed more fresh air.

Four walls got seriously confining after awhile. Even if they were sort of soothing at the same time. The roof was decided on as a fairly easy place to lounge and the old cigarette butts got a faint smile out of her.

Perching precariously on the edge of the roof, she went back to her notes and scribbling, looking utterly comfortable.

And maybe a wee bit tired. Whatever. Dreams were stupid.

When Sookie had first discovered the wonder of I Love the New Millenium back in January, she had found it to be an extraordinarily valuable resource. However, she'd only managed to catch the first few years.

So imagine her delight when, while flipping through the channels on the television in boredom Thursday night, she discovered she was just in time for years 2005-2007.

"Martha Stewart," she said to no one in particular, glaring at the television. "Gran would be so disappointed in you if she knew the kind of trouble you got yourself into! I should write her right now and tell her to stop making your pine cone bird feeders!"

Sookie needed to get out more.

[this post is brought to you by the fact that I found a download for both I Love the 80's AND I Love the 90's, the complete series. Shhh, I love these things.]
