There wasn't a lot to do today. That fact didn't particularly bother Bod, though. He'd learned to find entertainment in the smallest things so making his way down to the common room seemed like a logical place to start.

Of course, once there, a few options were presented. He could find something on television to watch. He could spend a few minutes flipping through the channels to find something good to watch and the probably settle on something boring (he'd spent time in hotels, he knew how television worked) or he could try and make himself something to eat.

Now, that option made him hesitate. While he'd been in the graveyard, Silas or Miss Lupescu had done the majority of the food getting. Since leaving, he'd mostly stuck with fast food and prepared meals. This would almost be cooking.

Okay, no it wouldn't. There was cereal (something called Captain Crunch to be exact) and Bod figured he could manage a bowl, milk, pouring and a spoon. Still, it was more than he tended to do. With that done, he was free to find something boring on television.

It was still far too cold for meeting outdoors, so the handwavey signs for Support Services that had gone up throughout the dorms directed everyone downstairs to the first floor. Morgana had gotten coffee and tea from The Perk, and there were two sets of cookies on the table, one marked "J,GOB" and one marked "FRANCINE" with accompanying sticky notes about the ingredients and the freshly-baked quality of said treats.

Not that the girls were worried that people wouldn't want to eat their cookies or anything. That would be silly.

"Good afternoon," Morgana said, sipping at her tea. "Since we assumingly have new people here, we thought we'd take this week for some meeting and greeting. No introductions are necessary, unless you would like to introduce yourself, but we know that can be tiresome after doing it all week in classes. Also, we wanted to give everyone a chance to ask questions if they'd like, about what we do, or about Fandom in general. If there are things you've heard about that you still don't understand, all of us would be happy to explain, if we can."

Kate had told Warren she'd flown away from the crazy when she'd come to Fandom.

Now she'd started to realize that actually, leaving home had merely been a jump off the top of a figurative building. Sure, she'd gotten some distance between herself and the mess at home. But now the mess inside her was starting to seep out.

Her wings weren't working yet. She was still falling.

It wasn't exactly the easiest of thoughts to deal with, so today was a very good day to come down to the dance studio, to concentrate on her body and to get her mind to shut the hell up.

Later in the day, she had plans with Jason. For hanging out in his room. This could easily mean talking, or a massive make-out session, or a fight, or something else. She had no particular vision for what she wanted to happen; she'd deal with whatever it turned out to be when it was that time.

But it wasn't that time yet. Some mellow electro pop was playing, and Kate was at the barre. Focused.

[ooc: As always, post is open for all your gym/dance studio/Kate-bothering needs. SP warning for the next couple of hours, though. I'm around!]

So Jaina had talked to her mother today. No, not that one. Hers. She'd decided not to say anything as of yet. It wasn't so much that she thought she might take it badly; Leia knew what went on here, her husband, son and sister-in-law had all been here to see the crazy, and she took it all in stride. Honestly, she just wanted to have that conversation in person. Where she could have a picture of this Leia on her phone and show it to her mother all "I know what you were like."

Afterwards, she headed down to the salle, repaired remote in hand. Yes, she broke it the other day, shut up. She was better now. So was the remote, actually, now that she'd had a chance to improve on its basic design a little. Jaina set it up, unclipped her lightsaber from her belt, and was ready for the first shot, which came just a little faster than it used to.

Some people went out on Friday nights, she did this.

[So, I ditched out of getting dragged without warning to a wedding tonight by claiming to have plans. This post is hereby my plans. Ping in so I don't feel like a liar.]

Why look, out there in the common room, pretending to be social while watching terrible, somewhat dated slasher films! Was it Jonothon? Why yes, yes it was!

The lights were dimmed, the sound was turned up as loudly as it could go without disrupting everyone else on the floor, and Jono was slumped back against the couch, as comfortable as he ever was, silently mocking anyone who thought that they'd be successful in their attempts to escape that guy with the chainsaw who walked incredibly slowly after them.

All that was missing was the popcorn.

For obvious reasons.

[Open common room is open!]
