Hannibal was not built for cold weather. Sure, he didn't mind but he'd much preferred it to be warm and sunny rather than incredibly cold and insanely snowing. He remembered days like this from last year and he wasn't any better prepared this year. Staying in bed had merit but it was still cold so he'd come down to the common room, bundled in blankets and clothes hoping to find some warmth.

When he found the fireplace, he sighed in relief and immediately pushed a couch up closer to it. Fire hazard? Pfft. It was warm. After he'd thawed, he was able to find himself some cookies and hot chocolate (yes, he could manage to make that) before retreating back to the couch.

With the electricity out, there wasn't much to do now. He thought about singing or something equally idiotic but settled for just keeping warm and and drinking hot chocolate.

There was no electricity, but there were plenty of practice dummies and that was all she needed.

A particularly nasty blend of anger, pain, and frustration boiled inside of her at the moment; it was uncomfortable both because of its intensity and because it seemed to stoke the more Infernal elements within her. When she was angry, there were temptations. Urges. They felt good, and that strange edge of strength and pleasure within all the pain, the feeling that one was feeding the other, bothered her even beyond what was really Bothering her. The last thing she needed right now was to feel like a monster, in any sense.

She left her yo-yo and her tessen away for the moment. Instead, she was just wailing on the dummies with hands and feet. Slicing would have had her needing a new set of dummies far too quickly; knocking the limbs and head off piece by piece, on the other hand, was both cathartic and took much longer.

Marco really, really hated the cold. But unlike everyone else, he didn't actually need to deal with the cold and lack of electricity as a human. Which is why there was a polar bear sprawled in the third floor common room, seemingly almost happy with life.

The polar bear was also playing with a Coca-Cola bottle. And old school, glass Coca-Cola bottle. Just because he was cold, didn't mean he had lost all of his sense of humor.

Arthur had not been looking forward to the idea of heading out in this weather, but he was a man of duty, and he did have... some concerns in regards to the health of the horses and the dog. He also wasn't sure how long their food would hold out.

Sure, he could've asked Merlin to do it, but... Yeah. They were his horses, and his dog, and if something did happen to them he'd take it rather personally.

(Which was not to say he had a soft spot for them or anything. No. None of that)

He wrestled open the door to the stables and shut it quickly, petting Bryn over the head as she came at him. Soon enough, he was by the horses, cradling the head of his own and checking for any signs of frostbite.

Thankfully, the stables were still relatively warm.

Hayley had come up with a secret plan to fight inflation to get things warmer.

No, she wasn't setting the common room on fire. Though she'd admit to the thought crossing her mind.

She was, in fact, piling as many cushions and blankets into a giant fort. She was exercising her inner five year old.

She'd gladly welcome help. Or company.
