This week there were, yet again, no snacks. But for a good reason! After a handwavey message to meet in the Danger Shop again went out, it could hopefully be forgiven.

"Hello everyone," Merlin said, far more confident in his and Tony's skills at programing the device this time around. "Today we'll be trying a new exercise to see how we would all do in case the next attack pulled us away from the island and to unfamiliar territory."

Without pornstars.

"We're going to make a virtual visit to Merlin's world," Tony said. "They don't actually allow magic use, but we're going to skip the bits with the inquisitors and bonfires today." He hit a few buttons on the console and the environment appeared around them.

Huh. Merlin never mentioned the fluffy pink trees. It all looked, well, a lot like a children's book. He shot a puzzled look at Merlin.

...that would be Merlin staring in something akin to horror at the castle and king as well. "Um. I think things might not have worked as planned..."

There was a roar in the background as some terrible beast awaited the plucky group of magic users. At least that ended up fine.

Tony turned to see the beast and found himself looking at a perfectly innocent white rabbit. "Okay," he said, heading for the console. "Let me try this again." And then the rabbit attacked.

[Wait for OCD then Save us from the killer rabbit! We have to beat the rabbit to shut off the simulation. It can be in many places at once! It's nearly indestructible! Wounds acquired in the Danger Shop are real, but fortunately the thing's teeth aren't quite as nasty in the simulation as in the movie and will only result in shallow bites. NOT real, sorry.

All images are worksafe, though the last one is bloody.]

Sam was in a much better mood this afternoon than he'd been early in the morning, partly because he'd gotten the fun task of calling all the girls who tried out to welcome them to the team and invite them to practice. He got the mats out and arranged in order, and found the mix of peppy music that he least minded being earwormed with for the rest of the day.

When one thought of love and romanticism and flowers, naturally they thought of Jenny Sparks. No? Very well then. It didn't matter. Jenny was still there, with the various Valentine's Day paraphernalia, occasionally eating some of the chocolate to fortify herself as she sold flowers and tickets for the Desperation Valentine's Day Dance.

Jenny was available to sell tickets, talk, or...be Jenny at you, unless, of course, she'd popped outside for a smoke break.

So, Valentine's Day was coming up and Momoko was determined to make chocolates for her friends this year. Back home, she always asked her mom or Miyako to make them for her help her, but, well, how hard could it be to do on her own?

She'd decided to do a practice run, and had even bought twice as much of everything just in case.

Wearing a totally cute pink apron that said, "all a woman needs is a little love and a lot of chocolate," she lugged her bag of supplies into the common room kitchen, gave the stove a stern lecture on the importance of the holiday and why it shouldn't burn the chocolate, then set about chopping and melting.

She was going very slowly and following her recipe very carefully, no matter what the very untidy state of the kitchen implied, and soon she had a test batch of chocolate that could be poured into her little heart-shaped molds. She let them cool (sort of) and then tasted one.

It tasted like chocolate. Not at all burned or peppery or salty or anything. It was just good and, well, chocolate-y. "I... I did it." She stared at the piece in her hand a moment, then, "Oh my gosh. I DID IT! YAY!!"

She'd be making more as soon as she finished her victory dance around the kitchen.

[open! Yay! Chocolate!]
