Sleep? Who could possibly sleep at a time like this? Although Ariel was absolutely exhausted from yesterday, the seahorses in her stomach were stampeding about in excitement and so she didn't have much for sleeping. Even the thrill of sleeping in a human bed was enough to keep her up. So it was tired but still bouncing Ariel that had padded down to the common room that morning, eager to explore and rifle through the unbelievable amount of human artifacts at her disposal just down the hallway.

For a girl who didn't talk, she wasn't very quiet about the whole thing either. Cupboards banged, drawers slammed, utensils clattered as her eager hands and hungry eyes went through every single one and examined all the marvelous items. Dinglehoppers, a whole drawer of them! Gazoodzits, too, and flangongers, and here there were some plates! Plates! Ariel reveled in the new word as she took each one out, looked it over, turning it along its circumference. And then there were the boxes of things filled with other things, and gloopfezzits and, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! Ariel stared in awe as she even found a thingamabob, unlike any of the twenty she had back home in her grotto, with a pretty red case filled with all sorts of other gadgets, like the little mini snepfitters and gormazers...

It was almost too much. Occasionally, Ariel had to force herself to stop, letting out little silent squees to release her excitement.

She'd probably be less excited once she'd gotten through all the cupboards and had to start putting all the stuff back.

"Okay, buddy, check out what I got for you." Hiccup emptied his pockets, and then the tablecloth full of food he'd...acquired from the picnic. "Don't know what any of it is, but it's all good stuff."

They were out of the woods. The people he'd talked to hadn't seemed to see any problems with the dragon, and he had been allowed to bring him, so he'd decided it was safe for Toothless to show his face.

Toothless sniffed at the food, making intermittent purring noises, and started scoffing it down. Hiccup collapsed onto the grass, legs--one real and one wood and metal--stretched out in front of him, glad to be sitting and glad to be out here in the warm sun. "You're going to meet my roommate," he said after a bit, and Toothless' head came up, ears cocked to the side. "You be nice to her, no, you know, bouncing and knocking her over."

An inquiring rumble.

"Yes, I said her. No, I don't know how I'm going to explain it to Astrid in a way that lets me keep the rest of my limbs."

The sound Toothless made was definitely the dragon equivalent of a laugh, and Hiccup rolled his eyes.

[OOC: Expecting the roomie, but totally open if you want to meet, stare at, or whatever the dragon. No slaying!]

Jake had been up early. Freakishly early and he'd taken the time to just run around the preserve, letting his wolf instinct take over to clear his mind. Whether it'd helped was another question as he was now lounging (shirtless) in one of the chairs on the deck with his bare feet propped up on the railing. He was toying with his mobile and finally started typing up a text.

Why did you let the leech come here?

It didn't take long and Jake guessed that Bella must have fallen out of bed.

Bella: Don't call them that. Who are you talking about?
Jake: The tiny one. Alice. Why's she here?
Bella: She isn't there. What are you talking about?

Huh. He stared at the lit up screen, trying to wrap his brain around it. His mobile beeped once more and he automatically pressed to read the next text.

Bella: Can we talk? I miss you.

He wished she wouldn't and he sent her a two letter reply before flipping his mobile off, aware that he was being a jerk. That he was breaking promises, but there was no point in talking. She'd made her choices.

... Now what the hell was that freakish scent that was hanging all around the grounds?

[Sorry, Toothless. Open deck is open. He'll welcome the distraction.]

Peter Bishop was not a fan of having his worldview rocked. He typically considered himself a very smart and rational human being.

Seemingly being dumped fifteen some years in the future was not a concept that gelled well with rational and scientific thought. It honestly made him feel like he was going crazy, no matter how much his conversation with Jacob had reassured him.

So Peter slunk into the couch, unable to concentrate enough to read. Instead, he flipped on the TV and proceeded to be horrified by the program that was on. Who thought it would be a good idea to film crazy new Jerseyians and put them on TV?

Andy had got back to Fandom after another visit with his brother (who was getting a little clingy Andy thought, but hadn't been able to bring himself to say to anyone) that afternoon and unpacked. He was sorry he'd missed the welcome picnic the day before but brother. Clingy. Really, he was going to have to do something about that, but since the new term was about to start and he'd have the excuse of classes to stay put for a while he felt he had some breathing room.

But he still was hoping to socialize and meet some of the new people so he made himself comfortable in the common room, with some munchies, and turned on the tv. Tonight was the season finale of The Amazing Race and even if no one else showed, he'd have a nice relaxing night unwinding and seeing who won.

It was Goose's first full day at Fandom and the first thing that he did that morning was head to the Shooting Range to test it out. He hadn't done any target practice yesterday and since he didn't like having to go without training any longer than he had to, he was determined to get some in that morning.

That was why he was now focusing on the targets in front of him, with trained precision he let loose a string of fire power from his blasters, effortlessly hitting the targets as he did so.
