There was no freaking way that Alex was going to light a fire when it was hot outside. As it was, he'd already wandered out to the campfire sans shirt and barefoot because he was that lazy and it was that hot. And, if he was honest, he figured he could use some sun.

So, he was out by the campfire, sunglasses covering his eyes and cigarette sticking out of one corner of his mouth, enjoying the relaxation and letting the warmth of the setting sun hit his shoulders and ease some of the tension there.

The baggage was gone though. It meant he could be at a campfire without worrying that shit was gonna be brought up for all to see. He could deal with everything else right now.

There was a pretty, pink princess at the main campfire today.

And because even the influence of powerful hallucinogens didn't change things like highly competitive natures, Princess Cara was the prettiest, pinkest princess of them all.

Shy, demure, but ever so chipper, loving, and positive-thinking, she danced lightly around the campfire, requiring only tiny birds or small, fuzzy animals to sing with to complete the picture of perfect Disney princess-hood.

James was not a princess, not wearing pink, but was at the fire nonetheless.

He had a package of the hot dog sausages and was currently roasting one on a stick. He was staring into the fire as the smoke wafted around, keeping the mosquitoes away.
