The weather did not suit to spend the entire morning outside, so Faramir had settled himself on a stack of fresh hay in Baru's box. The horse did not seem to mind the company, and Faramir enjoy the quiet in the stables. It led to lesser distractions as he read through one of the books his brother had sent him. This one told the history of the Kin-strife and while Faramir already knew much of it, there were things in the book that he had not heard of before.

And yet, while the book was fascinating (at least to him), Faramir found himself humming to a tune he did not know. Neither were the words that came to him. "Did I disappoint you? Or leave a bad taste in your mouth? You act like you never had love. And you want me to go without. Well it's too late, tonight. To drag the past out into the light. We're one, but we're not the same. We get to. Carry each other. Carry each other."

It was rather depressing.

[Open as stables are. He really does not mind distractions, honestly.]

Holy crap, Claudia was actually trying to cook. You'd think she'd have learned her lesson after trying to overclock a waffle iron, but, well, every now and then her plucky and adventurous side had to make itself known, and today, it wanted to make itself known through food.

And humming.

And every now and then, singing ever so softly to herself.

[ooc: open! Results of Claudia's attempts to cook are not guaranteed to be edible.]

It was that time of year again. One of Effy's favourites, in fact. Who didn't love a cultural excuse to sit in the dark, set shit alight and just sit and watch it burn? Not having fireworks wasn't too big a deal, really. Could still come out and play with flames. That was better than nothing.

So far, she'd not had much trouble with today. That creepy little song she'd broke into earlier? She was stubbornly calling it a fluke.

... And in no way thinking about it too hard while she stared into the fire in the pit front of her.

Because there had been far too much singing going on for her today, Maladicta was up on the roof to be antisocial. Because it felt like the proper place for emo brooding enjoying the evening away from any temptation to break into a song and dance number.

Though, for reasons beyond her, she brought her umbrella along with her.

Odd that.
