Peter Bishop was having a pretty good day. He had ordered a couple pizzas from the local pizzeria just to tempt people into the common room.

He was tempting people because he'd set up a Three Card Monte game on a table, and was practicing it. Just for fun, of course. But if anyone wanted to bet, well, he'd do it. With any non-telepath.

Technically he needed another person to work this fully, or so he'd read. But this was mainly just prestidigitation practice.

"Find the lady, find the lady," he said, practicing his patter.

Gremlins didn’t typically suffer from insomnia but, today, insomnia was what one gremlin in particular was experiencing. It was a bit boring, being up early enough that most everyone else was snug in their beds, making it hard to find anyone to bite. It was such a downer and the gremlin found himself wandering the halls aimlessly.

Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a piece of paper sticking out from underneath one of the dorm doors. Curious, the gremlin wandered over and reached for it, picking it up and looking at the piece of paper. The pictures were so big and detailed and the gremlin chittered excitedly.

Piece of paper in hand, the gremlin hurried to the first open (and vacant) dorm room and grabbed at the phone. Now, what? The gremlin looked at the piece of paper and understood...nothing. So, he just started mashing on the buttons. He kept mashing and that, combined with some of the venom that flew out of his mouth and onto the keypad when he started slobbering enthuiastically (he was using a phone!) caused the keypard to spark dangerously.

The gremlin stepped back and stared. The keypard sparked again and eventually the phone started to smoke. The gremlin had pushed so many numbers that the phone kept dialing until it could take no more and sparked enough to nearly start the sprinklers. The jolt of electricity shot through the phone line and spread throughout Fandom’s phone system, causing glitches, surges and tailspins everywhere.

The gremlin skittered away hurriedly. Fandom’s phone system had now gone haywire. Have fun everyone!

[NFB, NFI but OOC is fine! This is the IC start of Crazy Phone Day! This is NFB and takes place SUPER early Friday morning so feel free to start making phone calls tomorrow! Have fun!]
