The reservists had been handwavily notified to meet in the Danger Shop this week, because the exercise was... something different. Behind where the leaders were standing was a field (that inexplicably had highway lines) that was constantly being hit by very large, very erratically-timed snowballs. Splat! Running across the field, between the highway lines, were intermittent packs of... very large rabbits. Hopping energetically.

"For the record, this was not really my idea," Kennedy felt the need to point out. "But today we're working on mobility, so you have to make it from one side of the playing field to the other without getting hit."

Any resemblance to a certain video game was beyond her; she wasn't a nerd.

Maladicta, at least, had no clue what this was in reference to. "With snowballs," she added slowly. "Are you certain this is an actual exercise?"

"It's not exactly what I was going for, but it works," Kennedy argued. "It's dodging things from multiple angles. It totally works."

Riiiight.

"We could at least make the rabbits more frightening," Maladicta grumbled, shooting Kennedy a look from beneath her umbrella. Stop being 'helpful', Maladicta. "But, if you're all ready, get to it. Dodgers."

As the girls arrived, they'd find that the first floor rec room had a buffet. A waffle buffet, complete with every topping you could imagine.

The boys were going to fight dirty with ice cream? Fine. The girls could do better.

"We are Kappa Delta Gremlin," Emma began crisply, once everyone had food. "Theoretically, a service-oriented sorority aimed at promoting self-esteem and life skills for female - or female-identifying - Fandom students, KDG is here to provide Girl Power and moral support. Which means yes, we'll be doing a spa trip next week and planning fundraisers and finding causes to support. It's perfectly acceptable to be smart and enjoy the finer things in life, despite what social media may tell us."

Quinn was impressed by how together Emma sounded. She'd have to ask her later if she'd done this kind of thing before. "Today we're mingling," she continued. "Get some waffles, find a seat, tell us your name, age, where you're from, and one embarrassing secret."

Her smile held only the slightest hint of a sting. "We won't judge. We're all sisters here."

As opposed to last time she had claimed the common room, Ramona was not, in fact, in her pajamas tonight. However, she was still eating cereal, because as far as she was concerned, cereal was an anytime kind of food, especially if you didn't feel like making anything more complicated than tea. Which, for Ramona, was quite often the case.

On the couch, with a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea in front of her, Ramona started her usual channel-surfing until she came across a little fast-paced, brightly-colored movie.

"Steve Quaker versus the Earth?" she read when the titles came up. "Oooh, Canada."

Apparently, she would be able to stay on one channel for at least a little while.
