Rilla was not having the best week and that was due in no small measure to the tiny baby she was lugging around in his basket. Jims had taken it into his head to wake up shrieking every two hours for the last two days (and nights, to Rilla's great sorrow) and all of the lullabies and bottles in the world hadn't done the slightest bit of good. Even the baby book that Rilla relied on had no ideas.

Rilla wished Jims was a kitten. Those were quiet, and when they weren't, you could make them go outside.

She walked a bit petulantly through the dorm halls, putting up posters for a joint Halloween mixer with the sorority, the fraternity, and Pride:

With the way her luck was running, she might not even get to go: there was no way she would leave a screaming baby for someone else to deal with, no matter how tempting the prospect seemed.

[OOC: Text reads: Kappa Kappa Gremlin, Kappa Delta Gremlin and Pride present: Halloween Bash, Monday October 31, 6th floor after classes end. Come in costume, win a prize!]

There were the usual moddable snacks and the jar for funds for future snacks on a table, but also, there was a bin of assorted trims and sewing notions, and even a few pieces of fabric, with a sign on it that read 'Free to a Good Home.'

"Hey, guys!" Petra said, sounding super-excited. "Next week is Halloween and we have the mixer with the frat and the sorority, so we'll be working on costumes this week so we'll all look fabulous." Which probably explained why she was sewing silver fringe onto a shirt. "I know everyone isn't as crafty as me, so I brought some stuff I'm not going to use and you can take anything that looks like it might be useful for your costume. And if you can't sew, you know, there's hem tape and superglue and safety pins, it's really just a matter of creativity and making do with what you have and your skillset." Petra sounded completely blase about this because, well, she was. In the absence of any better materials, by God she'd rip someone's ballgown apart and make thread out of it. "But if you hit a roadblock I'm here to help, and if you need second opinions I'm sure we'll all be happy to help you."

Warren paced the roof, occasionally giving his wings a stretch as he waited for Angelica. They'd made plans over the weekend to practice flying together, and since he was sort of starved for excuses to just get out and fly at the best of times, it was entirely possible that he'd headed up to the roof a little early. Could anyone blame him?

Warren smiled faintly as he looked up at the clouds overhead. They were going to swallow up the moon, he imagined, but at least there were a few lights from the town to fly by, and the dorms themselves...

Yeah, they wouldn't have to worry about flying headfirst into any trees or anything.

Probably.

[Expecting one, but it's an open roof, of course!]
