Roof, Thursday Morning

It was a beautiful day, and Anders wandered up to the roof to feel the sun on his skin and look out at the ocean. He'd come out of the simulation with mixed feelings, and the last few days hadn't done anything to change them. He was angry to be taken, angry to be held against his will -- but he always enjoyed fighting just that tiny bit more than he suspected he should.

The fresh air on the roof helped clear his head. Idly, he started pulling weeds from the little rooftop garden. He wasn't much of a gardener, really -- he liked plants better when other people took care of them -- but it was good to have something to do with his hands.
