Wandering Announcement Man!

Kawalsky is wandering the halls wearing a big sandwich board that says:

He's already spent 15 minutes wandering around the first floor. He's now onto the second and plans on spending 15 minutes at least on each floor wandering around showing off his sandwich board announcement (which he is being paid handsomely for), working his way right up to the top of the school.

He resists the urge to shout 'Peanuts! Get your peanuts!' and just keeps wandering around.

Snagging one of the tables in the fourth floor common room, Anakin dropped his Advanced Negotiations textbook and carefully recopied notes (ones clean of any inappropriate doodles he might have been making during class) and waited for Phoebe to show up for their study session.

A feeling of dread had been with him all day. His shoulders were tense and he was very, very twitchy--his hand reaching for the lightsaber that was no longer at his waist. He'd be grateful for any company that would keep him distracted.

Then this meeting is for you. Announcing the FIRST annual meeting of Male Fans of Celine Dion or MFCD for short. Said meeting will take place THIS upcoming Monday in fluid FH time. The meeting will be held upon Han Solo's ship which he so kindly rented us.

Bring your music. Bring your movies (Special Edition Titanic is always welcome!) and, of course, bring your questions as this will be an informative and educational meeting.

This first meeting will be introductory, letting us all introduce ourselves and get to know each other. Those "without" the Celine Dion experience are invited and those "with" the Celine Dion experience are invited and we are hopeful you will come and help gain that all important experience.

If you think about it, rain falling on my head's entirely arbitrary, isn't it? It's a random pattern, seemingly, yet I can assure you I'll get wet all over eventually. If it's random, how come I get completely covered? Because it's NOT. The rain's assignment is to target every square inch of my body and moisten it. That's its part in the play, like it or not.

Er, that is to say, I think there's a storm coming. I'd find some sort of cover, but as the rain is meant to soak me, so am I meant to get soaked.

In the 2nd floor's common room...

The chairs are in place, the television and DVD player prepped, tables set up at the back of the room with a cooler full of ice and more than half a dozen two-liter bottles of soft drinks. If anyone wants alcohol, they'll just need to bring their own.

As for movies...

Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Weird Science, Better Off Dead, Risky Business, The Breakfast Club, Real Genius, Top Gun, and Dirty Dancing.

Now all she needs is for some people to turn up. And to decide what to watch first, of course.

Lisa stands in front of her mirror, smoothing the silky black material of her dress. She blots away at her lipstick for the tenth time in the past two minutes, and then backs away from the vanity.

"It's a date. It is just a date. No big deal. Just two friends. Right, Lisa."

She grabs her purse and lingers at small box on the coffeetable. She grabs the delicate, silver cross necklace inside, and tucks it into her bra. She doesn't want to wear it, but she promised Liz. She double checks her cell phone battery and sits down on Wallace's bed to wait for Angelus to arrive.

Illyana was feeling itchy...but not in a physical sense. There was a prickling sensation that kept running up and down all of her senses and it made her want to dive into Limbo until it passed.

But she couldn't do that.

There was something about to come down and she had too many people she cared about at the school.

She decided to go hang out with James as was the plan. She had been looking forward to it, and that way, she'd be on hand to protect him if he needed it.

She went down to his floor and knocked on his door.

Second Floor Common Room

Kawalsky was quiet as he left the 239/240 suite. Everyone else, he assumed, was sleeping soundly. Jack was snoring, but that was no indication of whether he was actually asleep or just doing it to piss everyone else off. With or without the snoring, Kawalsky simply couldn't sleep. He'd doze off and then be awake, looking at the sharp red dial of the digital clock across the room from him. It would always read around 3 hours after he'd drifted off.

Rather than fidgeting until one of the girls told him to shut the hell up, Charlie grabbed his iPea thing and headed for the common room. Considering that not all of the mp3s on his iPea were legally obtained, he wondered if that made him a pirate and, if he was a pirate, would he be entitled to a really cool hat like Barbossa's?

Kawalsky dropped down onto the couch and flicked through the TV's channels. Discovery Channel was playing the elephant porn again. He'd seen enough elephant porn in the past few days to kill.. well, an elephant. The Game Show Channel was showing yet another old show that he didn't understand the purpose of. He would have stayed watching it, but it was late (or early) and no one would appreciate him yelling at the TV in an attempt to coax the contestant into doing the smart thing, even though the show was filmed 30 years ago. It made him feel better. The other option was mocking the show, but no one was around and it was a little too geeky for him to mock to himself. That, and he just didn't appreciate his own sense of humor.

He even checked out ESPN2, now that Duo had done a great job of getting the channel in time for the hockey season. But they were playing basketball, and as much as he liked playing, watching was boring.

Charlie curled up on the couch with his headphones in and listened to music while he flicked over to some random channel with science fiction on it. At least there was a good chance he'd see hot women in nearly no clothes. Sure enough, there was some chick in a tight red suit. This would do. He didn't need to listen in. It was all about the eye candy.

The eye candy got boring when some guy with shaggy hair came on screen and tried to hit on every female on the screen. Charlie shuddered and switched over to Showtime. There was always something interesting there. Or, at least, there used to be. Maybe they'd done something stupid like letting go of all of their good material.

Whatever. As long as there were moving images and he had his music, he was fine. The sun would be up soon and then he'd head into town to get breakfast.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

There is the sound of static on then a voice comes over the loudspeaker system. It carries throughout the dorms and the school.

"Attention students!

This is Phoebe Halliwell, Jerusalem's assistant. If you have weapons in the weapons locker, get your asses up her so I can pass them out to you. If you do not, get your ass up here anyway as I am sure that I can find you a weapon.

Do not waste time asking stupid fucking questions, okay? There is trouble and it's up to us to deal with it.

If you do not know how to use a weapon, please stay the fuck in your dorm!"
