Pippi had put up posters last night. So she got up early to make pancakes, because setting something down on poster board and going over it in glitter is like a sacred trust. Or something.

So here she is wearing a big cotton night shirt and bunny slippers in the 5th Floor Commonroom flipping up a flock of flapjacks to the music playing on her laptop.

She might be singing a little song about pancakes to herself and doing a little dance...

"Mumble mumble blah blah... pancakes don't lie... hmmm mmmm hmmmm hmmmm."

[[ooc: Open! Please ping me off my one OCD comment or I may not see you come in and that would be sad. If you want to get pancakes or talk to Pippi that is. Otherwise, comment as normal. :D]]

Sakurazaki is hard at work drifting out of the dorms often and returning with her arms filled with collected rocks plucked from where ever she's sure that the rocks would not be missed. And then she travels back to the dorms, slipping down by the gun range and depositing them in a corner of the swordswork area. The process is repeated throughout the morning, a decent-sized pile collecting under a small sign that reads: "For Shinmei Ryuu training. Pleas don't mind."

[[interactions, if any, will be delayed, as I will be talking about the history of literary criticism for two hours. yay summer classes]]

Even on his best days, Archie found his clockwork workshop challenging. There was simply no way he would be up to the challenge today, though, not in this frame of mind. Being in his room didn't seem like an appealing option, either.

So, tired and haggard-looking, he took his latest ship model -- he'd gotten a bit ambitious and was recreating "Lucky" Jack Aubrey's HMS Victory on a small scale -- and camped out in the first floor lobby to work on it. People passed through here all the time; perhaps the coming and going would keep Simpson's apparition away.

He would be sorely disappointed in that regard, though. )

Hands shaking worse than before, Archie picked up the next piece of carved railing and his bottle of glue and set to it, his face flushed and sweat pouring down his forehead. Every noise, however minuscule, seemed to make him jump, and his eyes, when they weren't darting around the room, frequently lost focus. But he was too petrified to move.

[OOC: As established in plot guidelines, unless you are canonically able to do so you will not be able to see Simpson sitting in the chair. The post is open, though, for those curious about one very jumpy and terrified sailor, or for your general lobby use.]

In the war between nursing his hangover in the quiet of his room (where hiding would be much easier) and going out to watch a World Cup game, soccer won out. Predictably. So Conner was camped out on the couch with a bottle of Advil and a gallon of water, watching the Switzerland-Ukraine match.

At least, presumably that was what he was doing; all that could be seen of him over the top of the Manchester United beach towel he'd draped over himself were his eyes and the top of his head. He might have looked slightly traumatized.

Still trying to take it relatively slow after last week, Sakurazaki doesn't intend to have too heavy of a workout with Yuunagi today, although she has set her camera up on a tripod to catch a little bit of footage by herself. If anyone else drifts down, she might have to ask them a favour to get some better shots. For now, though, she's content to just practise all her forms and basic attacks. She throws in a few of the minor wind techniques, too.

During her breaks, she's working on composing a list of rules to be posted like she'd noticed the Gun Club doing. So far, she's only got one, but it's the most important one, scribbled in poor English on her notebook: "Ther is to be no sparring in the swords aria. All sparring must tack plas in the gym with practis swords."

Seras paused to read over the list of rules that Parker had shown her the first time she'd come to the range:

SAFETY RULES:

· TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED

· KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO FIRE

· BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT’S BEYOND

· ALWAYS WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION

· NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.

· CHECK IN ALL WEAPONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RANGE.

She double checked to make sure she had everything right. Then she picked a lane and began her practise with her 9mm. She went through a clip and then paused to indulge in a brief smile. Oh yeah. She was definitely getting better.

[OOC: Range is open for all your shooting needs]

After her encounter with Whitney at work, Lana had just wanted to hide in her room for the rest of the day. But when he showed up there she'd fled to the common room, hoping that if other people were around he might leave her alone.

She sat, nervously flicking through channels and trying to ignore him, while he leaned against the far wall and watched her.

Bridge couldn't sleep. So he was curled up on the couch in the common room, watching Galaxy Quest reruns.

Anyone who was still awake was welcome to stop by, of course.
