It was Monday morning and, from a technical stand-point, Cal didn't have anything to worry about until Thursday for work, Friday for his two classes. He couldn't imagine a better schedule, really, the whole week to do nothing but what he wanted to. That time most likely wouldn't be utilized for anything more than working out and writing, but those were still progressive, still getting something done, although to what end?

Did it really matter?

He set to some of his simple stretches, warmed up on the treadmill, and took to the weight machines.

Of the many reasons why it was a bad thing Liir woke up as a human this morning, the fact that he was naked three floors up from his room and all of his clothing was one of the big ones. The fact that he was no longer a cat was also rather disappointing, but it wasn't what had him running at top speed down the stairs clutching a random towel from Ino's room around his waist.

[open, though he's going to keep running! ^_^]

After his morning workshop, 'Randy Miller', still rolling his eyes, dropped his stuff off in his room and then made his way to the common room. He smiled, and set to work making soup and sandwiches.

It was awesome how well his George Foreman doubled as a panini grill. Grilled chicken paninis and cream of vegetable soup were just exactly what he wanted today -- and there was plenty of soup, and plenty of fixings if someone wanted a sandwich.

So it came to be that a deal had been struck. Turtle really wasn't sure if she understood it, but, apparently, there was some doubt in Marco about his animal shifting talent, something about a time limit, and so that put a big fat stopper in his usual plans to mess a little with the newbies or people who didn't know about his skill. So when Marco proposed that she helped him out by keeping an eye on the time and coming up with a grand old scheme on how to get his animal self out of the common room before the limit was up, she promptly charged him ten bucks for the favor, then dropped it down to just five when he gave her those stupid pouty, puppy dog eyes and reminded her that friends didn't charge friends for favors.

Like heck they didn't.

Either way, they worked it out and now Turtle Wexler was sitting in the fourth floor common room (easier access to Marco's room in case they had to cut things real close), on the couch, sipping a cup of hot cocoa while watching the evening economics report, but keeping a very close eye on the clock. She also had her wristwatch set to give her the alarm when they came close to five minutes left in the suspected time frame. The chimpanzee formerly known as Marco was swinging around, and there were a few bananas on the coffee table in front of her.

The chimp kept trying to take the remote from her, but she would have none of it.

"Monkeys don't get to pick what we watch," she told him firmly, and then sipped her cocoa again.

Monkeys probably wouldn't have so much a problem with it if Turtle watched anything interesting.

[[ totally open, of course! up a little early for spishness if needed; Marco and chimp!Marco were totally modded with permission! ]]
