Karal had a small fire going, and there was a large pot of tea keeping warm next to it. And plenty of cups. And a kitten. And a Firecat. And a deer.

Vashti (kitten) had been acting strange all morning, fluffing up and hissing at nothing when she wasn't hiding under the bed. Right now she was standing under the deer (actually Evey), who was sniffing delicately at a bowl of tea. Altra (Firecat) was sitting on a log, watching the fire because Karal was, but he looked tense.

Given how many people's friends and girl/boy friends had suffered animal transformation, Karal thought it might be nice if they could get together and support each other. To this end, there was a sign:

Is your girl or boyfriend (or your friend) an animal? Have some tea and share with others who will understand.

It's possible he hadn't thought the wording of that through as well as he could have.

[ooc: open, of course! I've been trying to get time to do this all week, 'cause the idea of all the people with their people-who-are-currently-animals in one post makes me giggle.]

Seeing Worf at the gym beating the crap out of the punching bag is not a surprising sight.

However a hyena that appears to be using a small dumbbell in its mouth to exercise?

Well, okay it may not be surprising in Fandom but it is certainly odd.

The campfire had been comfortable enough the last time Ender had sat here, and it served its purpose enough the next time around. His notepad laid unused in his lap, his pen discarded somewhere on top of it. He was staring at the fire. He wondered if maybe this boredom was part of his atonement-- but then again, that was a ridiculous thought in and of itself.

He didn't know. He had marshmellows.

[ open campfire, wheee ]

Ella was more than slightly fond of the cabins and campfires; they reminded her of home, and it saddened her a little to know they'd be moving back to the dorms soon.

Determined to enjoy the time she had, she kindled a fire despite the warmth of the night and spread out a blanket on the ground nearby, then sprawled out to stare at the flames.

She absently hoped no one would trip over her.

[OOC: Open like a campfire, yes.]
