Posters were being hung up everywhere by one Shilo Wallace, reading the following:

CANDY PARTY. TONIGHT. THIRD FLOOR COMMON ROOM. BRING A BAG TO SHARE, OR ELSE.
Because sleep is completely overrated after last week!
Any questions, find Shilo or call 555-SHLO.

[Totally open for interaction, if your character wants to catch Shilo in the process.]

So, a little bit of sleeping had actually happened last night. Real sleep, with the usual dreams about maybe someday becoming a hero. Not... Those ones. From last week. And so Zack was actually slightly rested, or something like it, when he got that text message that made his PHS chirp and woke him up with a start.

You. Me. The salle. Now.

All things considered, that was probably the most awesome wakeup call ever.

Of course Zack was there, sword at his back. And maybe a package of cookies in one hand. So sue him.

"Morning, Arthur."

[For that guy, but the Salle is open for anyone else who needs it, too. Text message provided by [livejournal.com profile] bitch_prince, natch.]

Pshyeah, like Chuck wasn't going to take advantage of free effing muffins. He didn't cook; he took free food where he could take it. To be fair, he was only taking advantage of the chocolate ones.

Now he was hogging up the couch in addition to the chocolate muffins and was trying to find something on TV. He wasn't having much luck but you couldn't expect much from a Tuesday.

Shilo had Frooties, Blo-Pops, Tootsie Rolls, and Starbursts out in bowls, and had stocked the fridge full of sodas and juices. She had a selection of meta for Disney movies to pick from.

The Candy Party was on a roll.

[Up early for great SP justice, OCD is up and ready to go!]

In each of the common rooms there was now a basket full of muffins.

The muffins were chocolate and blueberry, and there was a note attached to each of the baskets:

Everyone at this school deserves Muffins of Triumph!
Enjoy!

♥, Kate (room 324)

[NFI. Every time someone eats a muffin, an emo!Kate feels a little bit better. Just so you know. Oh, and Claire probably still has muffins too.]

Leto had actually made some plans for this meeting, in case Arthur and Zack would still be asleep, although if they had been, there would certainly have been a lot fewer people showing up.

Those plans were now pointless, however. There was no way he would put people through defining the goals of defensive tactics today. Clearly those who had spend their weekend in another reality were a little too emotional to deal with that now. Leto knew that from experience; he had spent the previous day being bitched at (hello Arthur!) or hugged and cried on. It was obvious that people needed some kind of emotional outlet today.

Also, it seemed like some people had trust issues after having run into alternate vampire versions of themselves. That could prove dangerous in a fighting situation.

"Good afternoon," he greeted everyone gathered. "Today we will work on what I believe is referred to in this time as team-building. Without loyalty and trust - both of leaders and of fellow warriors - a military unit is nothing. Where that trust is strong and army may rise about their actual level of fighting skill."

"Often this loyalty has been nurtured by shared pain and suffering. A guerilla group might have faced persecution together for a long time. Many forms of military training forces the warriors to endure severe hardships together in order to achieve something similar."

Leto smiled. "Today, I decided for a more playful and gentle approach. We will start with a shared meal. Eating together is a sign of friendship in many cultures. First, you need to divide the food." He gestured at a blanket on the ground with a large fruit bowl in the middle. "It needs to be divided equally, but for every fruit you take, you need to tell the group something significant about yourself."

"When the food has been divided, you may eat, but you may not feed yourself, only other people."

He watched the people gathered. "Any questions?"

[Wait for OCD! OCD is up!]

Thanks to his kind of unexpected change of address a month ago, the DVDs that Bobby had pre-ordered had taken a few extra days to actually make their way to him. But they were here now, and that was the important part.

He rummaged through the common room kitchen until he came up with some chips and soda, and then popped his brand-shiny-new Go-Between Guy DVDs in to the DVD player.

Marathon time!

[ooc: open like a common room!]

The fact that Jaina's muscles were still protesting after yesterday's workout was a huge sign that she needed to find someplace to practice her drills when visiting John. She couldn't even remember the last time she'd felt twinges like this.

Naturally this meant she was back in here today, determined not to let a few aches and pains get in the way of the fact that she'd really really missed training. She liked pushing herself, and she liked the feeling of having accomplished something, and the endorphins didn't suck, and even with three remotes set up, it was nice to know that she hadn't gotten so rusty that she couldn't take them on easily. Her muscles were just going to have to deal with it.
