Savannah wasn't feeling quite like herself, but she was still on time to set up things for practice. She pulled out the mats and set up the tables with refreshements and the sign in sheet.

The music wasn't loud, but it was upbeat.

Savannah would be over here on a mat stretching. Yes, stretching. It only looked like she was laying down with her arm over her eyes.

Overnight, pieces of butcher block paper with Things Every Girl at Fandom Should Know and Things Every Guy at Fandom Should Know written across the top had appeared inside every boys and girls room on every single floor of the dorms. Who put them there? Well, that'd remain a mystery for now.

Several pens and markers lay nearby the pieces of paper, giving everyone the means to mark up all that pristine paper. Got something to say? Got something you wanna tell people? Got a secret you wanna confess?

Just write it down!

[c'mon, i know some of you remember these! if you don't, check it out here and here. feel free to write whatever you'd like down! feel free to also talk to each other, react, tease, and/or sneak into the other bathroom (though be prepared for a smackdown).]

It had been a while, so Triela had gone the extra mile and brought food today. Tea and tasty little cookies and things. Not that she would eat many herself, too much sugar, but she hoped that others would enjoy them.

"Nothing special on the agenda today," she told people as they arrived. "We're just going to spend the day getting back into the habit of shooting. As always, you can borrow one of my guns if you need one. And, please, drink some tea and eat some food. Because I have to figure out what to do with anything that's left over."

When people began arriving at the meeting today, they would see that things were a bit different than usual today. For one thing, the snack table has it's usual assortment of warm beverages, but was missing the normal variety of snacks and there were a handwavey number of wooden chests piled off to the side, each one sporting a heavy iron padlock on the front.

"Greetings," Karla said, looking a bit more composed than she had at the last meeting. "We've got a fair bit to do today, so we should probably get started quickly. First, we have a talk from Tara, who was kind enough to volunteer this week," she paused to give Tara a grateful smile, "and then, we have an activity."

Merlin nodded and stepped forward. "Inside these chests is... pie." Oh, it was so spooky and magical sounding. "But, as you see, they're rather firmly locked up. So, the exercise today will be to get the contents of the box--unharmed--using whatever skills you have at your
disposal."

Mmm, pie. "Fresh-baked," Tony added. "And if you get one out, it's all yours."

Karla was really regretting that the three of them hadn't had enough time to bake the pies themselves, but hopefully J,GoB pies would be an acceptable substitute. "So, let's give Tara our attention--and a pie of her own for volunteering--and then we'll see how well your pie-retrieving skills are."

Salle [afternoon]

Never let it be said that Mat couldn't go and exercise when not being forced by bloody knife point. It wasn't that he was worried that Arthur some people here might outstrip him in terms of skill.

It was just that he hadn't worked with his quarterstaff in far too long and he didn't want his arm muscles to disappear. Not that he wanted to have shoulders like bloody Perrin, mind--he liked coats that fit--but women were more eager to talk to a man who didn't look like he would blow away in a gust of wind.

So there Mat was in the salle, beating the stuffing (not literally, at least, not yet) out of a dummy with a stick taller than he was.

He was really, really good at it.

Hayley was back on the couch, this time she had a couple plates of cookies set out for anyone to grab one.

She was watching a documentary she'd found on the TV.

It had her enraptured. "...you can do that in a movie?"

She was amazed by all the naked people, blood, and car crashes.

[ooc: Open! Method RPing, apparently, as I'm currently watching the same movie.]
