Chloe was the first one to arrive for practice, so she was happy to start setting things up while she waited for the rest of the squad to get here. She was glad to be doing something normal after spending the weekend drawing weird pictures and looking for someone named Nick.

It was just weird.

She pulled out all of the mats and set them up, and then did a quick run for refreshments for the squad. Once everything was set up for practice, she turned on the music and hit one of the mats for stretching out.

The meeting today was in its usual place instead of the dreaded Danger Shop. There were even donuts! Because those made the past weekend melt away.

"Hello, everyone! Today we'll be trying a new exercise to work on communication," Merlin said, clutching a plate of non-crazy blue man making donuts close.

"Communication is very important," Karla added, shooting Merlin a glare that said, Share! He wasn't the only one who'd had a bad weekend and, dammit, she hadn't even turned into anyone! "We saw that in the last invasion, particularly. Whether it's information about our enemies' weaknesses, coordination, or just letting people know where you're going and when you expect to be back, keeping everyone informed and in the loop can make a big difference."

Tony had actually had a good weekend. Coincidentally (or not), it had been spent away from Fandom. "We're going to play a game to practice communication. It's called Telephone, and some of you guys might know it already. We'll give you a phrase and you have to pass it to the person closest to you, who passes it to the next person, et cetera, et cetera. The big rule today is that you can't speak out loud during this game."

Another week, another go at the range with full-on blaster fire. Hey, Jak had been relying on the Vulcan a lot lately, but it ran out of bullets quick. Knowing how to handle your blaster was vital if you wanted to survive in Haven City.

The little laser pointer hovered merrily over the target up ahead for roughly .5 seconds before most of the target was scorched away by a number of well-aimed blaster bullets.

Jak grinned. Oh yeah, this was going to be a good practice session. With hopefully a new mission coming up tomorrow...

Chloe was sitting on one of the couches, flipping through the channels of the TV to see if there was anything interesting on. She was skipping over anything that looked romantic because, well, come on. Being single didn't mean she was in the mood to watch chick flicks.

What she was really trying to find was anything that was fantastical or had lots of explosions. That would keep her attention, really. Then again, so would anything with comic book heroes or pirates. Pirates would be fun.

"Okay," Elena said, grinning. "This week, we're showing off our pretties. I sent a handwavey e-mail out, so I hope everyone got it? If not, take five and go get your guns out of storage. We're doing show-and-tell here. Which gun is your favorite? What are its advantages and disadvantages? Who would you recommend it for? What situations would you not suggest someone use it in?"

She waved her hands at the group. "Enough of me talking. We have guns to drool over."
