This time, not Secret Santa-related for once!

Kiki is carrying a large box with holes punched in the side. The box is also wriggling excitedly, and Jiji, on her shoulder, keeps glancing at it nervously. Kiki sets down the box to knock on Angel's door, and the box bounces about a little, as if trying to scooch it's way down the hall.

The box is marked as coming from Aziraphale, and it contains this )

In between his classes this morning, Anders can be seen scurrying constantly back and forth between his room and the dorm lobby, frequently loaded down with bulky packages from the US Postal Service, FedEx, UPS, and DHL. Every now and then, the pattern is broken, and he might be spotted with boxes of baked goods, or wrapping paper and tape.

He's discovered the intrigue of online shopping, as well as the joy of priority and overnight delivery just to make sure everything gets in before people leave for the break. For someone who had no concept of Christmas whatsoever until just this month, he's certainly throwing himself into the holiday with abandon. Maybe part of it is due to his lingering guilt over what happened to Kara, as he's definitely made a large dent already in the up-front percentage he received of his CPL signing bonus. But mostly, he just feels like doing something nice for the friends he's made here so far. You don't survive abnormal psychology, detention, carnivorous plants, and the Christmas pageant without appreciating the people who went through it with you, after all.

On one of these ferrying trips, he picks up three small packages and grins as he notices the company names on their return addresses. Eyeing the smallest one, he gulps and wonders if it was a good idea, then pushes the thought away and tucks the package into his pocket. Once he's there, he sets himself up in the middle of the floor and tackles the daunting task of giftwrapping.

The door is ajar, though mostly closed so as to keep everything as much a surprise as possible; anyone who wants to is welcome to stop in. There are plenty of cookies and cupcakes, too, for anyone who didn't specifically get a gift.

[OOC: Will be slowplayed a bit, but if you've got a present, I'll get it to you at some point if not here.]

OOC: The following people have presents from Anders )
[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com
All around the town and school go up invitations to come to the park in the afternoon to guess your Secret Santa!

There is a note added to the fliers that reads, "ALL who signed up for Secret Santa, please come! Even if you were neglected or did the neglecting. And everyone else is invited to watch, too!]

[Interaction (guesses, denials, etc) can go in the first thread, but when you come to Kiki to tell her specifically that you've figured out your Santa, please use the second thread! Just helps me keep everything straight. Thanks!]

EDIT: Actually, that's kind of confusing. Really, the point is just to let people interact and have fun guessing their Santas in a casual get-together. It doesn't matter which place you post to to talk to Kiki and check the list, just so long as you make it CLEAR to me that you're speaking to Kiki. I don't want to cross off names prematurely :)

6 is in his room, constructing mannequins. For the sake of Art. Every once in a while, he stops to read a graphic novel called "The Escapist."

The door is slightly ajar, and 6 is in a more nostalgic mood than usual. Not that he's leaving or anything.

Cally, a large sack over her shoulder, plops down onto a couch in the common room. She sets down the tray of cupcakes, for those folks she doesn't have gifts for, and waits happily for folks to wander by. She's really thankful for the internet right now. She's also hoping that her emergency money won't actually be needed for any emergencies for the next... few months.

For Vladdie, care of [livejournal.com profile] rory_gilmore, from Jeremiah, care of Xander Harris: this
Note reads: "It bounces! Like me! And you can bite it! Unlike me! Merry Christmas!"

For Buffy ([livejournal.com profile] chosenslayer_) from Xander, this.
Note reads: "Saw these, thought of you for some reason. Er, not that I associate you with raw fish; I just thought you'd look cute in like them. Merry Christmas - Xander"

For Ed ([livejournal.com profile] scissors__) from Xander, this.
Note reads: "What can I say; it was on sale. Hope it makes your homework a little easier next semester! Merry Christmas! - Xander"

Draco is rarely on the second floor, unless it's for baked goods. But he's there today and he's carrying a badly wrapped Christmas gift. Usually he had house elves wrap things for him but he doubted the school would ever let him bring one from home. He used Quidditch wrapping paper and the witches and wizards were flying around on it. He thought Lee would be amused by it.

He stopped outside Lee's door and put down the present in a place where Lee wouldn't miss it, no matter how hard he tried. Along with the present is a card that reads: Just in case you missed the redheaded me. Merry Christmas- Draco.

ZOMG don't ask where he got the doll.

Sam is surrounded by gifts, the door is open, and she's planning on taking them around. But first, she's double checking the list.

Shep props the door open (and keeps half an eye on Olive to make sure she doesn't sneak out) and leaves Lana a voice mail to say that he's in.

After a message on the white board that simply says "You. Find me." he figures he better let her know where he is and not move.

He's reasonably sure he's not actually in trouble. But this is Lana - who's female - so really... anything goes.

[thread opened for Lana, but anyone's free to wander by, the door's opened to a public hall after all.]

The traps have been deactivated. There's a diagram on the wall. 6 merely awaits the players. Oh, yes. There will be tyranny-smashing this night.

Done with all of her finals, Lana climbs into comfy clothes and curls up on her bed to read a good - non-academic - and okay, rather fluffy book. She's got the rest of the week to relax, finish up some Christmas shopping (including sweet-talking Lex), and concentrate on other things.

And plan to hunt down John Sheppard. She can't believe he took over as her Secret Santa when her own didn't step up. She just keeps shaking her head in disbelief. How surprising and yet how completely like him. Still, she's not sure whether she wants to hit him or kiss him... though she has to admit she's leaning toward the latter. Like that's a shock.

She'll find him eventually, maybe not till tomorrow sometime, but she'll find him.

After a while she sighs and checks her voice mail - and is surprised to find a message from Shep on it. She heads down to find him.

A trip into town had resulted in Sean getting everything a puppy could need to be happy, and many many things that he didn't need per se, but which were too damned cute to resist.

There had also been Christmas presents for the pooch, but those were safely hidden in the back of Angel's closet since lord knows he isn't hiding there where Sean couldn't find them.

Sean himself was currently sporting a red and green collar with, appropriately enough, a dog tag. On the tag it said "My name is SEAN. My dad's name is ANGEL."

Sean's new possessions were back in the room. In the meanwhile Angel could tell the signs of a puppy who wasn't yet ready to settle in for the night.

So they were outside, playing with a new ball, snow, and generally having more fun than you ever thought a broody vampire could have.

Behold the power of puppy.

Parker checked the door of the music room, and smiled in satisfaction that it was, in fact, open. She settled into an acoustically protected spot behind the base drum, and set up her radio head-set, laptop with maps and cross sections, and a small siren alarm, in case someone jams the radio, and she needs to tell the teams to get out.

"This is Control. Everyone, report in."
[identity profile] drgrissom.livejournal.com
Grissom staples a few fliers on several floors of the dorms, that read as follows.

Here over Winter Break?

I need a student to watch a few of my pets over Winter Break.
Any interested parties must not be squeamish around members of the insect kingdom, or the smell of rotten meat.
Care is not required daily, but several times a week from December 24th on.
Compensation will be provided.
If interested, stop by Room 146 or the Sociology lab.

[Here's the deal: Grissom has a bunch of buggies. I need someone to keep them alive while he's gone in Vegas. He'll give you his card key, so you have access to his apartment. All I ask is that you leave Sue the racing roach alive, don't destroy everything in his apartment, and if you use his forensics equipment, not to use it on other players without their consent. Le simple, no? Grissom will pay your character, and there's the bonus for your character of being able to have total access to Grissom's apartment and toys over break to get yourself in trouble with, if you get bored. Help a geek out?]

The door is locked, but team members know the key is right above the door frame.

The window is open.

Parker's not here yet.
