It was very a dazed Karal who was late feeding Trenor this morning (a daughter from a possible future appearing out of nowhere could do that to a person). This didn't please Trenor at all, neither the dazedness nor the lateness, and he was rattling his feed bucket, his lead, his stall door, and generally being a cranky pants while Karal fed him.

Karal managed to mollify him somewhat with an apple.

[ooc: just for one and then another, thanks!]

It had been a long night and for some reason the kids were early risers. So it was a pretty groggy Mel who dragged her kids down the hallway and started setting them up with bowls of cereal and turned on TV in the hopes that it would keep them occupied until the coffee began to work.

"Ron. Seriously. It's a potted plant. Stop hugging it."

In the quest to find someplace that was spacious enough for the gaggle of children that happened to be following Reno about, Reno had decided to hit the roof with his own spawn. It was big, there was a view, and at present, it promised to be at least a little quiet.

Reno had also insisted that he make a run for breakfast before heading up there, and had possibly gone a little overboard, returning with about every breakfast food under the sun, and possibly a good deal of food that wasn't breakfast-oriented, either.

There was no way that the kids were going to be able to eat it all. That didn't bother Reno any. Meant there was more food around for later. Food was an important commodity when there were kids about. He was certain of it.

Now if only the weird one would stop trying to teach the scrambled eggs to dance. They weren't that overdone.

[Posted for a couple in particular, but totally open for kids, posse members, frustrated parents- Reno really, really overdid it on the food.]

After a few minutes of tinkering--fixing things took a little longer when you had a three-year-old helper--Anakin stepped back from the flight simulator with a small smile. Two identical podracer simulators were now set up.

"There," he said to the little girl. "Now you can podrace."

He'd left the door to the flight shed open. Last night's radio--and more than a few unfamiliar new Force signatures running around--let Anakin know there were more than a few little people on the island who might enjoy logging in some fake flying time.

Mac had never been so glad to have access to caffeine. Sunday mornings were supposed to be for lie-ins.

Kids, as it turned out, woke up antisocially early and usually only to demand food. Well, that was what the shape of the last twenty-four hours told her, anyway.

That, and that she should invest in electronic tagging. Mainly for Miles. Maybe Veronica could set her up with child lo-jack...

Anyway, once she'd finally figured out that if you gave them lots of cereal and sit them in front of cartoons they didn't break things quite so much, she did just that, and settled down with her coffee to make the most of the break. However short-lived that might be.

Willow had a bag full of crayons, markers, paper, glue, glitter, and other art supplies in one hand, and a wee daughter in the other.

"And this is the bestest common room that ever was," Willow told Melly. "There'll be plenty of room for us to draw here. Now help Mommy set up."
