Well, it was Thursday, and Jack was in the kitchen, trying to whip something up. There's bacon frying on a griddle, and he was mixing up a batch of pancakes (from mix, of course) and he was staring at the timer because when that went off? Brownies (from a mix) were done.

Nothing like a gourmet meal of the "just add water" school of cookering.

After everything in Ethics, Liir was in a bit of a mood.

The mood wasn't good or bad, precisely, but it was different from his usual busy contentedness. He didn't want to cook, didn't want to bake, didn't want to work on magic or consider the rest of his classwork. The strange thrill that had spiraled up his spine and made his heart pound while talking to the professor was coiled in his stomach now, awake and alive but seemingly content to wait once more.

He wasn't sure he liked it. He wasn't sure it was healthy. He'd been reasonably sure it'd died with Elphaba in her tower over two years ago but then it had shot through him like a lightning bolt, and the strange taste of it at the back of this throat. Well, it wasn't a taste, perhaps; maybe a sensation? He couldn't tell.

All the same, he was outside and he was kicking a soccer ball (a gooseball, if funnily colored) into a tree at different speeds and angles to practice by himself because of it. That had to mean something.

[open, very much so...though I'll have a couple of hours of transit before I pick up tags]

Kate was in the common room, sitting on one of the sofas, eating from a bowl full of cornflakes with milk and strawberry jam. The bowl was normal-sized, but the serving seemed pretty big for just one person. Whatever, she was hungry. She also had a fairly large cup of coffee on the coffee table in front of her.

She was wearing pink pyjama bottoms and a dark blue t-shirt with the logo of Four Winds Landscaping on it. Four Winds Landscaping was her father’s firm, and judging by the extremely loose way in which the shirt hung on her slim body, the shirt was his too.

It was still morning. You couldn’t expect her to get properly dressed just for breakfast and low volume MTV.

Sookie hadn't really ventured up to the sixth floor to use the big kitchen, but she figured that if she was going to teach someone to cook, this'd be the place to do it.

She had her recipe. To the best of her knowledge, she had her ingredients. And unless something went terribly, terribly wrong, she and Bobby would end up with peanut butter cookies to eat after!

So, probably not so much on having the cookies later. Oh, Sookie. In the meantime, she set to work preheating the oven and putting her hair up while she waited for him.

[Sookie's here for Bobby, natch, but all are welcome to witness the destruction sample cookies and such.]

Robin had decided to try to make pizza. From scratch. He was doing okay before he was inspired to try hand tossed.

*FLOMP!*

There was now something that resembled a tiny beige ghost on the counter. "Ack!"

Jono had gone out today and he'd spent money.

A stupid, ridiculous amount of money the likes of which he'd never spend again, but he had needed those extra clothes, and the rest was all about sanity.

Yes, the shiny brand-new candy-apple red Fender Strat that he was practically hugging off to the side of the roof where he'd actually managed to find an outlet for his amp. That was all about sanity.

So was taking it outside. Because he figured that people in the dorms would probably like to sleep as he tried to muddle out the chords for a few songs he'd been working on months and months back, before he... you know. Blew up.

They were very mid-90's grunge.

[Oh, the roof is so very open.]
