After what seemed like a winter that lasted forever, Bod was glad to see the temperatures warming enough that he could spend some time outside. He enjoyed common rooms but they didn't compare with finding a seat on the deck and breathing in the fresh air. There was just something he preferred about being outside and lounging in natural light. It was stupid but he'd never been the most normal boy.

With a book that he'd read already in hand, he'd found a seat on the deck and settled himself into it. It was still cool and there was a crisp wind but he wasn't cold. The seasons were on the cusp of changing, going from chilly grays to bright yellows and Bod couldn't wait.

Now, he just had to guard against napping on the deck. It had happened before, it'd happen again.

[Deck's an open place so open post, yep]

It wasn't Hawaii, but it was in the mid-50s today, so Magical/Support reserves was meeting outside to make the best of the warming temperatures. There was a table of the usual snacks, including quite a few lovely cakes with various tasty frostings (with all organic ingredients, of course, since Raven had procured them).

Unfortunately, the cakes had drawn some attention in the form of gremlins who were in search of a sweet treat. Said gremlins also didn't care about long-winded speeches, so when Raven stepped forward to begin to speak on the day's topic, a piece of cake suddenly came flying through the air right at her head.

Raven frowned indignantly as she scrubbed frosting from her cheek. "That was not very nice," she scolded.

"Really not," Tara agreed, frowning hard at the space the cake had come from. "Guys, if you don't want to come to the meeting, you don't have to, but you shouldn't act like preschoolers while somebody is --"

And that was where she got cut off by a gooey slice of chocolate cake splatting against her chin. Apparently, the gremlins didn't like lectures any more than they liked long-winded speeches.

"Stop that!" Dolf roared, grabbing at his belt for his bread knife and... finding he hadn't brought it this time. Stupid school weapons locker rules-- "Stop it now or I will stop you--"

Splat.

Karla, still slightly off-kilter from her dream last night looked from the gremlins to her leaders and back. Clearly, words weren't going to work. All right, fine. Fire with fire, then. Taking what was left from her plate--what? she'd been hungry!--she threw it back at the gremlin who'd flung cake at Dolf.

Her victory was short-lived as two more slices when flying towards her face. And then, the air was full of flung cake and frosting, lobbed at anyone and everyone.

Cake fight!

Harper missed hanging out on Hawaiian beaches, but she was glad to get back to cheerleading. She had the mats all set up for the squad to practice their tumbling, or just practice cheers if they weren't necessarily ready for tumbling.

And as an added treat, she set up the snack table with cups of mango passion fruit juice if anyone was really wanted to revisit spring break in Hawaii. After all, it was important to stay hydrated!

Rock Band time!! Robin might be too small to use the guitar controlers or attempt the drums, but that was okay. He was fine with just singing.

He had snacks and drinks out, in hopes of luring some band members in. There was even a keyboard for this one.

It was by no means warm outside, but it was still nice enough for Luke to be out on the roof with a coat on and not be completely uncomfortable. He was sitting out on the ledge of the roof with his legs stretched out in front of him, just looking out onto the island and getting lost in his own thoughts. He might go out and fly in a bit, but right now he seemed content with what he was doing, even if his thoughts weren't so pleasant. Maybe if he got all of his thinking out of the way now it wouldn't bother him later when he went to sleep.

[Open roof is open, of course]

Today had felt... off. Triela couldn't put her finger on it, but she suspected that more and more days were going to feel that way as her little memory lapses grew more and more frequent. Earlier today she'd needed nearly a minute to remember what room she was in.

Now she was carrying a small notebook which she hoped had all the vital information she might need if it suddenly... wasn't there.

She wondered if she should be relieved that all she'd done so far is forget things. From her experience with Angelica, misremembering was a lot worse for everyone involved. She was hoping she'd be spared that.

Of course, thinking about all of her little problems wasn't very productive, or relaxing, or good for her peace of mind. So she needed something to distract her from it all. The range seemed like a good place to do that. She was planning on going through a few hundred rounds. It would be nice to lose herself in the simple rhythm of aiming and firing.

Triela was pretty sure that it was as close as she was going to get to an active mission ever again.

[Open range!]
