When the signup sheet for the cabins went up, Demyx felt like hiding in the corner. It was just like all the times when people had to pick partners or teams; he knew he'd be last, stuck with whoever was left over. Just like him. That's how it always happened.

He knew that his new friends would be much more interested in rooming with each other, because old friendships are much stronger than new ones.

So naturally, as it always went...he'd be left out.

C'est la vie?

Well, that's how it would have to be. Still, Demyx had to get the unhappiness out of his system somehow. He grabbed a black hoodie off the end of his bed and headed up to the roof to play some music. The weather was, to him, absolutely perfect, with just a light sprinkle of rain and a cool - but not cold - temperature. He doubted there'd be anyone joining him, since he was one of the few people who enjoyed being out in the rain, but that was fine.

He was used to being alone, anyway.

Aeryn gets up early enough that she actually walks into an empty gym for once. This way, even with interruptions she can get some time in before Gun Club. See, this feels normal. She can work with this kind of plan just fine.

She pulls on her gloves and gets a few hits in on the bag to start.

A challenge had been issued, and Willow did not shrink from a challenge. Peter had wanted to know what was special about Willow cookies, and the only way to do that was to make them.

Plus Joxer could use another get well present, and there was the party tomorrow.

So after slipping invitations for Buffy, River, Kaylee, and Hermione under their doors, Willow headed to the fifth floor common room with grocery bags full of supplies and got to work.

Chocolate chip cookies didn't bake themselves after all.

The SAFETY RULES are still up from earlyer.

Pippi is disappointed that she missed gun club but the range is still here.

She gets her flintlocks out to clean and load them. She also has to assemble the gun Pip gave her for her birthday.

Somewhere, unbeknownst to her, her friends are being adorable and a Mountie is being awesome.

[[ooc: Open to all and one guy in particular.

Buffy had handwavily gotten her hands on a cd player and had dug through her gear in order to find the perfect practice cd. She had found it.* She had brought her list (with helpful doodles), dressed up in her cheerleading uniform, grabbed everything and wandered down to the gym.

She pulled out a mat and sat down on it, waiting for her victims teams to arrive.

* cd: She's a Rebel - Green Day, 3 Small words - Josie & the pussycats, Hey Mickey - B*witched, Kung Fu Fighting - Carl Douglas
ooc: please to follow the OCD, omg! OCD is up! Come and be cheerful!

ETA: Sleeping! Will pick up tags tomorrow.

Saturday Night, Roof

Dean held the door open for Dawn then stepped out onto the roof after her.

He'd already made a couple of trips up here earlier, before he met up with Dawn, first to pick out the perfect spot and then to bring up the blankets and pillows and food and stuff so that they could starwatch in something approaching comfort. He felt maybe a little like a dork for doing all that, but hey, if you can't be a dork for a girl, what could you be one for?

"Think this'll do?" he asked with a grin when she spotted the results of his efforts.

The hours seemed to be dragging by with nearly painful slowness. Part of Sakurazaki wants to go explore the town a little more, but she is socially inept, and would much rather have company to show her around. Armed to the teeth with English textbooks, she takes what little she can remember of her conversation with Z-san from last night, and heads for the common room. She spreads them out all around her as she sits on the floor and begins translating one of her Edo romance novels for Isabel-san. How could she have forgotten that they were in Japanese? She had a lot of work to do. Nice, boring work. Hopefully, this would be like honey to flies.

Nadia was once again stretched out on the couch in the common room with a notebook on her lap. This time the things she was scribbling had less to do with tormenting her roommate with a morality bot and more to do with what a "snorkack" might look like.

She imagined it was very hairy.

The TV was on and turned to some movie about a grown man attending classes in an elementary school. She'd deny it forever, but the fart jokes make her laugh.

Try as she might, Sakurazaki couldn't distract herself from thinking. She had tried so many things, and, while she was doing them...visiting other common rooms, working out at the gym, translating whole novels..., she thought she was succeeding, but once it all wrapped down and she was left again, alone in her room, looking at a photograph or noticing the lack of a sword strapped to her back, it could not be helped. She just lived inside of her head too much, and thoughts always came back to her.

So, she decided to take another walk, drifting out to that tree she had grown to like so much. She didn't sit beneath it like she would have on a different night...instead, she settled herself right on the cusp of where the branches reached, laying down in the grass with her arms tucked behind her head. She propped her knees up slightly, gazing up into the sky, and just thinking. No conclusions, no consquences, no what-ifs or why's. Just thoughts, and a scattering of clouds masking the night sky as she released little breaths of sighs into it quietly.
