A flyer is put up around the school and dorms. It reads:

Parent's Weekend - nice if you have them

While everyone's getting excited about seeing their loved ones, those of us who don't have loved ones or just don't love them refuse to be left out.

This weekend, Tara Maclay's room (#142) is being turned into the family home you wish you'd had. Fingerpainting, play dough, board games and homecooked food. Drop by if you're feeling lonely, or would like a better family than the one you were born to.

Some of us are born with good families. Some of us have to find them ourselves.

A long buffet table has been put together, again with food ranging from the simple to the strange and exotic.

Multiple tables with elegant tablecloths and cutlery have been laid out.

A Juice and Smoothee bar is also available.

JA Meet & Greet

Dr. Carter's classroom is tastefully decorated with white tablecloths and rose centerpieces. Food and drink are available for those who want it, the items ranging from some food from Deb's (brownies and lemon bars, bleu cheese pear puffs and shrimp spread on triscuits) to more vampire/demon friendly food from NPCed places that thoughtfully deliver.

A large sign outside of the door says "JA Meet & Greet: All are welcome"

Angelus is in the room dressed in a black suit, black shirt, no tie. His good mood, if anything, has only gotten more persistant.

Tara's door is wide open. Laid out on the dining room table are fairy bread, blueberry muffins, three different colours of play dough, a pile of white t-shirts and some fabric paint.

She is puttering around the kitchen, readying ingredients for omlettes.

Anakin sat behind a table groaning under the weight of totally innocent--really, would the JA steer you wrong?--baked goods.

Hanging from the table was a sign:

Open Hours for Grissom's Students (Room 146)

Grissom has his office open, sitting behind his desk, working on an insect timeline intently. He's put away the racing cockroaches in the bathroom for the weekend, but a few of his more gruesome displays and specimens are still visible.

He's made coffee for visitors, and is pretty bitter he can't have any.

Duo and Heero wander into the common room on Saturday evening, or, rather, Duo is pretty much dragging an irritated Heero behind him, as is often the case.

"C'MON, Heero!" Duo says, rolling his eyes, but grinning ear to ear. "Don't be such a bore, Yuy! Put down your stupid laptop for a second! You act like that thing is attached to you!"

Heero glares at Duo and Duo just laughs.

"Whatever, man. Keep a hold of that thing if you really want, I'm not sure I wanna know what you've been doin' on there all day, anyhow." He smiles. "C'mon, let's hit up the mixer for a bit, I promised Hamlet we'd meet him there."

Duo bounds off, leaving Heero staring after him.

Tour of the dorms

"Uh, so this is the dorms, Logan." Rogue stands on the first floor, waving her arms around and looking vaguely like a tour guide. "I live in one of the attic suites; it's a long walk, but the room is awesome." She runs a navy-gloved finger through her hair, feeling a little silly. "Oh, and this is our journalism project." She points to several posters along the wall. "What do you think? We need reactions." She smiles.
